The Dark Room

Thrilled to join Random Things Tours for this blog tour.

Hare’s Landing, West Cork. A house full of mystery…

Rachel Lambert leaves London afraid for her personal safety and determined to uncover the truth behind the sudden death of a homeless man with links to a country house hotel called Hare’s Landing.

New York-based crime reporter Caroline Kelly’s career is threatened by a lawsuit and she needs some thinking space away from her job. But almost as soon as she arrives, Hare’s Landing begins to reveal its own stories – a 30-year-old missing person’s case and the mysterious death of the hotel’s former owner.

As Rachel and Caroline join forces, it becomes clear that their investigations are intertwined – and that there is nothing more dangerous than the truth…

Bookish Opinions

This is a book that has intrigued me since I saw the cover. Wow I have not been disappointed! I have been completely unable and unwilling to put this book down! This is a new author for me but I am definitely a fan following this one.

This is a book set in Ireland- straight away a winner for me! a definite mystery with a hint of gothic thrown in for the added suspense. I have loved the characters in this book. The story is intricately woven together and written so well that you find yourself completely captivated.

This is definitely an atmospheric exhilarating thriller which has completely pulled me into the pages. I have devoured this book in just one sitting and absolutely cannot wait to read more by this author.

The cover is intriguing but doesn’t give much away. It definitely captured my curiosity and I have been pulled in quickly. This dark and twisty novel has been the perfect distraction and one which I wish I could re-read for the first time again. I love that Blake has a female protagonist who is intelligent. The characters have really been brought to life and I cannot wait to read more by Sam Blake.

A five star read for me.

Happy reading
