A heart-warming and uplifting story about love, loss and finding the strength to say goodbye, from the author of The First Time I Saw You.
Perfect for fans of Jojo Moyes and Cecelia Ahern, If I Could Say Goodbye is sure to ‘break your heart but put it back together again’ (Katie Fforde)
Jennifer Jones’ life began when her little sister, Kerry, was born. So when her sister dies in a tragic accident, nothing seems to make sense any more.
Despite the support of her husband, Ed, and their wonderful children, Jen can’t comprehend why she is still here, while bright, spirited Kerry is not.
When Jen starts to lose herself in her memories of her sister, she doesn’t realise that the closer she feels to Kerry, the further she gets from her family.
Jen was never able to say goodbye to her sister. But what if she could?
Would you risk everything if you had the chance to say goodbye?
This is a beautiful, emotional and heartbreaking read. I am literally sat with tears streaming down my cheeks as I write this review. I don’t know how any review j write can do this book justice.
I absolutely love Emma Cooper books. They always pull me out of a dip in my reading and I always want more after them. This one has been no different. This is a book filled with the theme of grief and how it can turn the family life upset down.
Emma Cooper has pulled me in from very early on in this book and made it impossible to put down. I have devoured this beautiful book in just one sitting.
This is a beautiful read which I have been fully immersed in. I have adored the characters in this book. I love how we have seen the development and growth of the bond between the characters in this book.
The grief, even as a reader is real because you become so invested in the characters and want good things for them. This is definitely a read which has stayed with me after reading. I absolutely recommend this beautiful read.
