Tangled Lives Stephanie Harte

Alfie doesn’t forget… and he certainly doesn’t forgive. Can Nathan and Gemma’s marriage survive the mob boss’s return?

Nathan has tried to be a changed man for Gemma after they escaped gangster Alfie’s clutches, but it doesn’t take long for him to give into temptation… and now Alfie’s back to get what’s his.

Alfie doesn’t like losing. The gangster has been biding his time ever since Nathan and Gemma escaped his clutches, but he’s determined to collect his debt now. It helps that he knows about Gemma’s big secret…

Gemma’s been hiding something life-changing from her husband while they’ve been on the run. But now Alfie’s back in town, her lies could cost her Nathan… and her son.

This book has been a good read, two rival families at war. The author has filled this with a range of good characters and although some of them are questionable individuals, you can’t help but like them.

I have found this one completely unpredictable, I haven’t been able to work out where the author was taking this book.

This is my first read by this author, I am definitely keen to read more after this one. The only thing that has affected my rating with this one, is the abrupt ending. I feel like I haven’t got all the information about characters that I have become invested in.

I really hope the author is going to write a follow up to this one, I need to know more. I have to know what happens with Alfie and Gemma.

I have liked the author’s writing style, I have completely devoured this book in just over an hour. Definitely adding more to the TBR.
